While I was at SXSW I had the pleasure of interviewing Scott Stratten of UnMarketing.  If you don’t know him, he’s kind of a big deal on Twitter.   He also has the radical marketing concept that instead of pushing yourself down people’s throats, you position yourself as a trusted expert in front of your target market, so when they have the need, they choose you. Crazy. His book is fantastic and you can pick up a copy from his website.

I was able to snag an interview with Guy Kawasaki at South by Southwest (also known as SXSW).  Guy is the founder of Alltop and just wrote Enchantment; The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions.

In this interview, he shares with us what Enchantment means and describes Push and Pull marketing.  His book is filled with personal stories and practical advice for any size business to create a wonderful and unique experience that will make your customers fall in love with you. Yesterday I had the pleasure of interviewing John Bliss, CEO of BlipSnips.  BlipSnips (besides being incredibly fun to say as you will see in the video) is a video sharing application designed to make video more social.

BlipSnips can be used on your iPhone, Facebook and on the web.   It’s very easy to use, thanks to a great demo from the Chief Product Officer, Gregory Keller (who also was the videographer – thanks Greg!)   Make sure you check them out and give it a try!  Let me know what you think.

I had the privilege of interviewing the fantastic Dave Taylor the other day and he is a hoot!  And he knows everything – if you don’t believe me, just ask him.

He is a true renaissance man running three blogs, his very popular Ask Dave Taylor site where he answers any technical question you throw at him,  another on Attachment Parenting and his third, a movie review site called Dave on Film.  Also he’s written a slew of books, he helps start up companies through his Intuitive Systems company, writes a newspaper column and has time to do interviews – when does this guy sleep?

We talked about his recent BlogWorld trip, why it’s a good idea to attend events like BlogWorld, and where to find all the good info at those events.  Plus he shared one of the hot tips for the future of social media discussed at BlogWorld.  I found out Grandma’s on the right track   Thanks Dave!

Wheeeee!  I got to interview the fantastic B Hopkins from Psiphon Consulting.  She is an Internet Business Strategist and helps your website attract and keep customers.

I am so excited that I’m doing a little happy dance.  I want to introduce Catherine Caine of Be Awesome Online.  She was kind enough to video tape a long-distance interview for me on how you can make your website better.  She lives in Australia so it was a little tough to get together – but I plan to come visit soon, Catherine!  So that gives you another reason to watch this video, because she’s got a really cool accent.

Brett Greene is an influential Boulder Tweeter and the VP of New Media Marketing at Oxstein Labs.  I got the chance to interview him and he is one smart Social Media cookie.  A smart cookie in general, but he definitely knows what makes social media work well.  He’s got some great nuggets about the psychology of social media.

Woohoo I had a fantastic time last night when Mari Smith came to the Loveland Chamber event to speak!  For those of you who haven’t heard of Mari, get your head out of Farmville and pay attention!  She’s been dubbed the “Pied Piper of Facebook” and has some amazing advice for people and businesses who are using Facebook.  She rocks Social Media.

She is one busy lady with her International Social Media Association and her upcoming Social Media Success Summit and she wrote a book that’s coming out in May – Facebook Marketing: An Hour a Day.  Whew, she’s making me tired!

I was able to chat with her for a few minutes and she gave some fantastic Social Media advice for Small Businesses.  Take a look:

I’m out in Chicago for a nice visit with the family.  It’s good to get back to my midwest roots.  Solid.  But you can’t hang out with family all week.  You gotta get out.  I mean out out out GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!  Whew, and I’ve only been here one day.  So, thankfully, I was able to meet one of my long-time Social Media friends, Bill Crosby.

I have been watching Bill’s Ustream show Social Media Live for a year.  So I felt like I was meeting a celebrity.  I love his show.  He has been doing the show with Gabe Strom who is now moving to LA to do a Social Media Reality show – crazy!  Bill will now host the show with Alexis Karis (a really great guy, btw) and they will focus on tools to help your social media efforts.  They give amazing tips and trick on how to use Social Media and the internet and they have fun.  I’m all about having fun.

I sat down with Bill, talked about his upcoming ventures and he gave some great advice on how to get started with your internet business. Watch the video – we had fun!
